A Site Score is a quick, 0.0–10.0 snapshot of how well a site performed on any given day. Ten means a perfect day; zero means a day where lots went wrong.
Over time these scores will give you a feel for how each of your Sites are performing compared to each other. This will help you identify trends, and spot issues before they get out of hand.
What the Colours Mean
Green (≥ 9.0) – Excellent
Amber (7.0 – 8.9) – Needs a quick look
Red (< 7.0) – Action needed
Grey “–” – Either a date in the future (so no score) or the Site was closed that day and no sensor alerts happened
Grey with an outline - The Site was closed that day but sensor alerts happened
How the Score is Calculated
The score blends the three Telsen modules together:
HACCP Workflows – your digital food safety temperature checks.
Custom Workflows – any other checklists you create (opening checks, cleaning, etc.).
Devices – sensors that monitor temperatures, humidity, etc.
Only the modules you actually use are included in your score. For example, if a site has no sensors, the Devices module is skipped and your score is based only on HACCP and Custom Workflows. These three module scores are hidden, we just show you the overall score to keep things simple.
1. HACCP Workflows
| What happened? | Points earned |
|---|---|
| Each check completed on time | 10 |
| Completed late (after the due time) | 5 |
| Missed / Overdue | 0 |
Your HACCP module score is the average of all HACCP checks for that day. If you complete zero HACCP checks that day, your HACCP module score is 0.
2. Custom Workflows
| What happened? | Points earned |
|---|---|
| Each check completed on time | 10 |
| Completed late (after the due time) | 5 |
| Missed / Overdue | 0 |
Your custom workflow module score is the average of all custom workflows for that day. If you complete zero custom workflows that day, your custom workflow module score is 0.
3. Devices
| Device status for the day | Points earned |
| No alerts at all | 10 |
| All alerts fixed within 1 hour | 8 |
| Alerts fixed later than 1 hour (but before midnight) | 5 |
| Any alert still active at midnight | 0 |
The Devices module score is the average of every sensor at the site.
If a device sends an alert and no corrective action is logged before it sends a second alert, we treat the first alert as unresolved and the sensor will receive a score of zero for that day.
Putting It All Together
We score each module out of 10 using the rules above.
But we ignore modules that don’t apply for example, if a site no sensors we exclude sensors from the score.
Then we average the modules you're using.
Then we round this to one decimal place to calculate your Site Score.
FAQ
Q: We were closed for a public holiday, why do I see a score?
A: If any sensor triggered an alert on a closed day, we still score the Devices module so you can spot equipment issues.
